christmas crafts

after a great long weekend home, we're back and working on christmas crafts!
here's a simple gift for some friends here in chattanooga -

2x4's about a foot long, some modge podge, cute paper, clothespins, & a little chalkboard paint and you've got...

a christmas countdown on one side and a little place for a picture on the other

easy peasy!

Hooray!
I found a great craft!
I work with special needs kids and I wanted something cute, easy and fun--and homemade-- to give them for Christmas..I'm just about ready to give up looking, when I found these. It's perfect, I have everything I need to do them..and I know the kids will love them!
Thanks for sharing!

Could you tell me the length for the 2x4's? are they 12 or 15"? Thanks so much. We are going to attempt this at our moms group. :-)

I blog over at http://www.2crafty4myskirt.blogspot.com/ and I just wanted to let you know that today I posted a round up of Christmas Countdowns.  I featured this project in the round up.  Please let me know if you are not ok with that and I will remove it from the post!  Thanks!

A question about the letters, did you write that with a paint marker or something else? The paint marker I used blended with the spray paint on the wood. Any suggestions for a different way to write on it?

Thank you!
